How to Apply for Electricity and Gas in English in Tokyo
Electricity and gas procedures can be challenging for foreigners who do not speak Japanese. Frequently, you find websites that explain their services in English but then switch to Japanese when you get to the application or account creation page. Here we introduce you to a gas and electricity provider that allows you to consistently go through the process in English, without any such worries.

Electricity & Gas Supplier with Complete English Support in Tokyo
HINATAO ENERGY is an energy supply service company of the Tokyo Gas Group. They supply gas and electricity mainly to the Tokyo area (see below for details). Since all services are available in English, it is recommendable for foreigners who do not speak Japanese. All services, including application, switching from another supplier, cancellation, and checking usage fees, are provided in English. Only credit cards are accepted for payment.
If you are switching from another company, simply inform them and they will take care of all the procedures, so you do not need to do anything.
