Fukuoka Living Guide

Fukuoka Prefecture is located in the northern part of the Kyushu region in Honshu. The prefectural capital is Fukuoka-shi. The distance to Tokyo is about 880km. 

Fukuoka has the largest population in Kyushu region and it is concentrated in Fukuoka-shi and Kitakyushu-shi. While the climate is relatively warm throughout a year, it snows a little in winter.

Fukuoka is surrounded by rich nature and has a lot of fresh seafood, agricultural products. It is also well-known for its cuisine, such as ramen, mizutaki, and motsunabe.
