Gunma Living Guide
Gunma Prefecture is located in the northwestern part of the Kanto region in Honshu. It is within 100 km of Tokyo, and the prefectural capital is Maebashi-shi. It is an inland prefecture that does not face the sea. Fukushima, Tochigi, Saitama, Nagano, and Niigata are the 5 bordering prefectures.
The area is rich in great landscape with mountains, lakes, and rivers. It is also well-known for hot springs, including Kusatsu Onsen, Ikaho Onsen, and Mizukami Onsen.
